Learn the basics to using Moniebook

How do I add a branch?

A branch is a separate business location or outlet within your organisation. Each branch can have its own inventory, sales data, staff, and settings while remaining connected to your main business account for centralised management and reporting. 


To add a new branch: 

  1. Log in to your Moniebook account
  2. Select Branches on the left-hand side 
  3. Select Add Branch  at the top right-hand side
  4. A pop-up might appear that you’ve reached the limit of branches you can have in your current plan. To add more branches, enter the number of additional branches you need and we’ll let you know how much that will cost. Select Add now to continue. 
  5. On the Add branch screen: 
  6. Enter the Branch name
  7. Enter the Address of the branch 
  8. Select the State and Local government that your branch is located in
  9. Select the Moniepoint Business account that you want attached to the branch
  10. Select Save branch to continue

How do I create a custom role?

A custom role is a type of user permission group that you can create with customised access rights tailored to your business needs. A custom role is a good option for you if the default roles don’t match your team structure, or when you need to grant unique permissions to certain staff. 


Please note, custom roles are only available for pro subscription plans. 


To start creating a custom role: 

  1. Log in to your Moniebook account 
  2. Select Staff & Roles on the left-hand side
  3. Select Roles at the top
  4. Select Add Role to create a new custom role
  5. On the Create role screen: 
  6. Enter the name of the role you’re creating
  7. Turn on unrestricted permissions 
  8. Under Permission type, select the permissions for the custom role
  9. Select Create role to finish


Keep in mind  when selecting specific permissions for your custom role that some permission categories will automatically include related default permissions. 


Once you’ve created your custom role, you’ll be able to find it in your list of available roles.

How do I add my BRM referral code?

A BRM referral code is a 41-character code containing uppercase letters, numbers, and pipe symbols (|). Your Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will give you this code to link your account to your business. 


To add a BRM referral code to your account: 

  1. Log in to your Moniebook account
  2. Select Enter BRM referral 
  3. Enter the code your BRM has given you
  4. Select Confirm


After adding your BRM referral code, your BRMs name will appear. To view their contact details, select Contact BRM.

Getting started with Moniebook

Whether you’re setting up for the first time, or expanding your operations to multiple branches — Moniebook helps you track sales, control inventory, access payments, organize branches, and manage staff. 


There are 3 steps to getting started on Moniebook:

  1. Setting up your account
  2. Creating your business
  3. Selecting a subscription plan


Setting up your account

Although you may have a Moniepoint account, you’ll need to set up a new Moniebook account.


To set up your Moniebook account: 

  1. Go to moniebook.moniepoint.com
  2. If you have a Moniepoint Business account select Sign In with Moniepoint and enter your details to sign in
  3. If you do not have a Moniepoint Business account, select Create Account at the top right
  4. Now that you’re signed in to Moniebook, enter your email address and select Continue
  5. We’ll send you a 6 digit code to the email address you provided in the previous step
  6. Enter the code and select Continue
  7. If you didn’t receive a code, select Didn’t get code? for a new one to be sent
  8. Once you’ve verified your email address, you’re ready to Create Business


Creating your business

Now that you have a Moniebook account, it’s time to create your business. You’ll enter your business name, create your first branch, and finish by describing your business. 


To start creating your business:

  1. Enter your Business name 
  2. Tick the checkbox to agree to our terms of service and privacy policy
  3. Select Continue


Next you’ll need to create your first branch: 

  1. Enter the Branch name
  2. Enter the Address of the branch 
  3. Select the State and Local government that your branch is located in
  4. Select the Moniepoint Business account that you want attached to the branch
  5. If this is your first branch, you’ll select the new account you’ve just created
  6. Select Save branch to continue


You’re now onto the final steps of creating your business:

  1. Help us understand what your business is about by selecting one of the options
  2. If none of the options fit, select Other and give us some details
  3. Select Continue
  4. Tell us the size of your business by selecting one of the options
  5. Select Continue
  6. Tell us how your learned about Moniebook by selecting one of the options
  7. Select Continue to finish creating your business


Selecting a subscription plan

Moniebook is available through a paid subscription, but you can choose between 2 different options.


To select your subscription plan: 

  1. Explore the different options and select the one that best suits your needs
  2. Select Continue
  3. We’ll ask you to confirm your subscription and select a Moniepoint account to pay for your plan
  4. You have the option to add extra features, we’ll calculate a new price for you in real-time if you select any of these
  5. Select Proceed
  6. To confirm your subscription request, we’ll send you a 6 digit code to either your email, SMS, or Whatsapp
  7. Enter your code
  8. Select Verify now 
  9. Select Got it to finish confirming your subscription plan


Please note, every new registered Moniebook business receives a free 30 days trial. You will not be charged until your 30 days trial has ended.
