Credit sales allows you to invoice your customers, so that they can pay partially or later.

To use credit sales:

Turn on Credit Sales in your register’s configuration settings
Enable Credit Sales on your Moniebook account by going to Settings

Keep in mind: If you do not explicitly enable this feature in your Moniebook account, your checkout will behave without credit options.

Invoices are created if a customer partially pays, or does not pay, at the time of checkout.

You can find invoices in Sales. All invoices include:

Amount paid
Amount due
Due date
Customer information

When a customer comes in to pay their invoice, simply open the relevant invoice and select Collect Payment to enter the amount they’re paying. We’ll update the payment history and either recalculate the remaining balance or make the invoice as paid in full.

You can view the payment history of an invoice any time by selecting Payment History.

After enabling credit sales, you’ll see 3 payment options at checkout:

Full payment
Partial payment
Pay later

Full payment

Select this option if a customer will pay the total amount owed at the time of checkout.

No customer information is needed for this option because no invoice will be created.

Partial payment

Select this option if the customer will only pay part of the amount owed at the time of checkout.

You’ll need to enter:

The customer’s information
The amount they paid
When the rest of the amount is due

An invoice will be created with the balance due and will be associated with the customer in your Moniebook account. You can find invoices in Sales.

Pay later

Select this option if a customer will not pay anything at the time of checkout.

You’ll need to enter:

The customer’s information
When the amount is due

An invoice will be created with the amount listed as credit and will be associated with the customer in your Moniebook account. You can find invoices in Sales.
